As we continue to invest in our people and capability, we're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Learning & Development Specialist to join our team on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering and enhancing learning programmes that make a real difference across our business. From supporting aspiring leaders through our Black Hat Development Programme, to helping develop our future talent and technical specialists, you'll be instrumental in creating engaging learning experiences that build skills, confidence and performance.
If you're passionate about learning, enjoy building strong relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced, operational environment, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role:

Working closely with the L&D Manager, operational leaders and subject matter experts, you'll support the design, coordination, delivery and continuous improvement of learning initiatives across the business.

You'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of programmes and projects while helping us embed new learning technologies, including the implementation and adoption of our Learning Management System (LMS).

This role offers a fantastic mix of learning design, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, programme coordination and project support.
What you will be doing:

Creating inclusive and engaging learning environments that encourage participation and knowledge sharing

Adapting your style to suit different audiences across operational, engineering and commercial functions
Coordinating programmes and projects

Supporting learning systems, reporting and processes to ensure smooth programme delivery

Contributing to the successful implementation, adoption and continuous improvement of learning technologies, including our LMS

Maintaining accurate learning records and management information
Partnering with managers and operational colleagues to understand development needs:

Providing advice and guidance on learning and development solutions

Supporting training needs analysis and identifying opportunities to build capability across the organisation
Measuring Impact

Monitoring learner feedback and programme outcomes

Supporting the development of meaningful L&D metrics and reporting

Sharing insights and best practice to continually improve our learning offer
What Success Looks Like:

High-quality learning materials and resources developed and delivered

Successful learning programmes with strong attendance, engagement and feedback

Positive support and partnership across operational regions and business functions

Effective contribution to LMS implementation and learner adoption

Flexible support to the wider L&D team during periods of increased demand

About You:

We're looking for someone who brings energy, curiosity and a proactive mindset.

You'll be comfortable working independently, building relationships quickly and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. You'll also enjoy working closely with operational teams and translating business needs into practical, engaging learning solutions.

You'll ideally have:

Experience in a Learning & Development, Training or Talent Development role

Experience within construction or a similar fast-paced, operational environment such as logistics, transport, engineering, aviation or infrastructure

Strong facilitation skills with experience delivering workshops both in person and virtually

Experience designing and developing learning content and resources

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience supporting or implementing learning technologies or Learning Management Systems

A good understanding of adult learning principles and learner engagement
