JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you an experienced LCV Technician looking for a strong basic salary, consistent daytime hours and long-term job security?
An excellent opportunity has become available to join a well-established commercial vehicle business in the Tonbridge & Malling area.
The company operates a large fleet of around 600 commercial vehicles, predominantly 3.5-tonne panel vans, supplying vehicles on long-term contracts within the utility sector.
Due to continued expansion, they are looking to add another experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to their workshop team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on LCVs and commercial vehicles
* Working predominantly on 3.5-tonne panel vans
* Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
* Identifying and replacing worn or defective components
* Preparing vehicles for MOT and statutory inspections
* Completing workshop documentation accurately
* Maintaining high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety
* Supporting the wider workshop team where required
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be considered for this position, you should have:
* A minimum of approximately five years’ experience working on commercial vehicles
* Previous experience as an LCV Technician, Van Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
* Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills
* Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
* A full UK driving licence
* Your own tools
* Reliable transport to and from the workshop
Experience working on Ford Transit vehicles would be particularly advantageous, although it is not essential.
HOURS
Monday to Friday, with a choice of:
06:00 – 16:00
or
07:00 – 17:00
Every other Saturday: 07:00 – 12:00
PAY AND BENEFITS
