Job Title: Laser Setter Operator

Job Summary:
As a Laser Setter Operator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, set-ups, and production runs of laser CNC jobs. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness in all operations within the Laser department.
Duties of a Laser Setter Operator:
Prepare, verify, fine-tune, and organize laser CNC tasks, encompassing material arrangement, program loading, and guaranteeing ideal cutting parameters.
Provide immediate feedback to the supervisor on jobs not meeting set-up and production standards.
Work with engineering and operations to ensure high-quality, safe production.
Load and unload products with attention to detail, and package and move finished products as required.
Perform equipment maintenance, repair, and inspections, and collaborate on process improvements.
Skills and experience of a Laser Setter Operator:
Proficiency in setting up and adjusting laser and/or punch machines, and maintaining laser optics.
Ability to select laser cutting gases and parameters for optimal cutting.
Strong mathematical ability and the capacity to interpret drawings.
Experience operating precision measuring devices such as Verniers.
About 2 years of experience setting up laser/punch machines preferred.
