About The Role: We are a reputable organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support and care for looked after children in the Halton area. Our team is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children, ensuring they receive the care, guidance, and support they need to thrive.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Looked After Children Social Workers. As a social worker, you will play a crucial role in providing direct support and assistance to looked after children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establishing positive relationships with looked after children, promoting trust and confidence.
* Providing emotional support and guidance to children who may have experienced trauma or difficult circumstances.
* Assisting with daily living activities, including meal preparation, hygiene routines, and recreational activities.
* Collaborating with other professionals, including social workers and healthcare providers, to develop and implement care plans tailored to each childs needs.
* Monitoring and documenting the progress and well-being of looked after children, ensuring accurate and thorough record-keeping.
* Advocating for the rights and best interests of looked after children, ensuring they have access to appropriate services and resources.
Requirements:
* 2 years Previous experience working with children or young people in a care.
* A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with children and young people.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of looked after children.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
