Job Advertisement: Mill Labourer Position
Location: Bradford
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Mill Labourers. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone eager to start or further their career in the mill industry.
Job Role: You will begin as a labourer, supporting our team by backing off a machine. As you gain experience, you will learn to operate various saws and potentially advance to a moulder operator position.
Key Responsibilities:
Stacking orders
Labelling orders
Conducting quality checks off a machine
Operating spray guns in the Spray Booth, if necessary
General housekeeping duties
Potential Career Progression:
Operating X-Cut
Operating Re-saw
Operating SLE (Straight Line Edger)
Advancing to a Moulder Operator
Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Overtime is paid at time and a quarter during the week ONLY if 39 hours have been worked and when required)
Fridays: 7:00 AM – 3:20 PM (No overtime)
Breaks: 10-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon, and a 40-minute lunch break
Rate:
Starting at minimum wage with potential for a higher rate depending on experience
Requirements:
Experience in a mill or timber yard is highly beneficial but not essential
Experience as a moulder operator or machinist is advantageous
Willingness to work overtime when required
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
