Hyde is looking for a Labourer to join our Trades team in and around Brighton. As a Labourer, you’ll support our skilled tradespeople in delivering repairs and maintenance across Hyde properties and surrounding estates. You’ll work across a range of services, including responsive repairs, empty properties, planned works and disrepair cases.

You’ll help us complete work safely, efficiently and to a high standard, providing a right-first-time service that improves our customers’ homes and overall experience. 

Key Duties

Support skilled tradespeople with repairs and maintenance, including brickwork, concrete work, fencing and roofing.

Prepare work areas by digging trenches, pits and foundations, backfilling when required, and helping to set up and clear sites.

Work safely at height and use tools, machinery and utility-detection equipment in line with your training.

Help manage materials, stock and equipment, making sure suitable materials are used and vehicle defects or damage are reported.

Provide a professional service in customers’ homes, respecting their privacy and keeping work areas clean, safe and protected.

As a Labourer, we’re seeking someone who can bring:

Experience in labouring, social housing experienced desired but not essential

A strong commitment to health and safety, with the confidence to report hazards, accidents or unsafe working practices.

Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions from skilled tradespeople.

A professional and respectful approach when working in customers’ homes and around Hyde estates.

Full and Clean UK Driving License
