Labourer / Groundworker

Description:

We are seeking experienced, skilled labourers & groundworkers, for a reputable construction company based in Preston. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in edging, flagging, kerbing and block paving etc for commercial and domestic sites.

You also must hold a valid CSCS card & full driving license to attend jobs within the local areas.

Key Responsibilities - Groundworker:

· Preform skilled labouring & groundwork tasks, including, edging, flagging, kerbing etc

· Prepare sites, ensuring they are safe and ready for work to commence.

· Assistant in installation of drainage systems & other groundworks.

· Operate and maintain tools efficiently & safely.

· Collaborate with site manager & other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

· Follow all health & safety regulations and company procedures.

· Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Key responsibilities – Labourer

· Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites.

· Perform general labourer tasks, such as digging trenches, carrying materials, and operating machinery.

· Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

· Maintain a clean and organised work area.

· Adhere to health and safety regulations on site.

· Assist with the installation of structures, fixtures, and fittings as required.

· Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

· Proven experience in edging, flagging, kerbing, drainage, block paving etc.

· Valid CSCS card.

· Full driving license.

· Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.

· Ability to read & interpret site plans.

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Benefits:

· Competitive hourly rate of £11.44ph - £20.00ph, depending on experience & qualifications.

· Daytime hours – over 5 days a week (40 hours) with possibility of overtime.
