Engineering Labourer
About the Role
We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of our site, assisting the engineering teams and helping to keep the yard and stores safe, tidy and organised.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
Moving materials and stock around the site
Supporting the engineering and fabrication teams with general tasks
Assisting with stock control, labelling and stock-taking
Ensuring materials and goods are stored correctly and safely
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Assisting with vehicle and delivery movements in the yard
Complying with all health and safety procedures
Carrying out other general duties as required
Requirements
Previous experience as a labourer or in a yard, warehouse or industrial environment
Good understanding of health and safety practices
Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Good communication skills
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Engineering background or forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
