What You Will Do: 

- Operate metallurgical and mechanical preparation equipment to assess components according to engineering specifications and drawings.

- Conduct routine quality control testing for Electric Drive Unit (EDU), battery, and frame assemblies.

- Perform teardowns of stators and frames using destructive equipment like bandsaws.

- Carry out visual weld inspection testing and ultrasonic testing of spot welds.

- Use optical microscopes to measure welds, rivets, and porosity content, as well as radiographic analysis of components.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve product quality issues.

What You Will Bring: 

- Practical experience using preparation equipment such as bandsaws, abrasive cutters, grinding, polishing, and etching tools.

- Knowledge and operational experience with materials testing equipment, including optical microscopes, hardness testers, tensile testers, and FTIR, among others.

- Metallurgical expertise in steel and aluminium, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.

- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

- Solid computer skills, including familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
