A new instruction for 2 temporary Lab Technicians with a key manufacturing client in the area and the roles are placed within the Quality Team.

1 vacancy: long term temporary

1 vacancy: sickness cover

You may also apply for any permanent positions that become available within the team as well during this period.

Candidates will ideally have some previous laboratory work experience although this is not essential for these positions.

Hours of work: 40 hour week

12 hour shifts, 4 days on 4 days off 0600 – 1800 Monday to Sunday inclusive

Ideal Experience:

Some degree of flex in terms of the ideal on the ideal candidate

Any experience gained within Quality Control or related field industry ion fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) an advantage although not essential.

Qualification in an analytical science desired, but non-essential

Knowledge of working to cGMP and ISO 13485 an advantage

Excellent planning, communication and organisational skills required together a confident ability to work independently with minimum supervision and under stringent timelines.

The ability to learn new skills quickly.

Must be a team player.

The Role:

The Lab Technician is responsible for the testing of Raw Materials, Semi-finished and Finished Goods, produced within the organisation to the required standards in accordance with the relevant GMP requirements and internal procedures.

You will be responsible for the testing of medical devices produced.

The role supports a Quality culture in the QC Lab programmes, continually striving for continuous improvements in compliance with GMP and all regulatory and legal requirements

Keeping detailed and up to date lab notebooks.

Aid the validation and verification of new methods used within the QC Lab

Work independently to carry out allocated tasks on a daily basis.

Report all OOS results immediately and participate in investigations to determine the root cause of OOS.

Ensure 5S is kept up to date with standards.

Work with R & D/Technical Services regarding the introduction of new products for lab testing or support existing products.

Performing testing in accordance with Stability programme in place for all products.

Keeping the retain sample programme up to date.

Support the review and update of lab procedures and test methods
