£13.10 per Hour

Omega are delighted to be supporting a leading laboratory services business in the recruitment of a Laboratory Technician to join their team in Leicester.

This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on sample preparation, booking in samples and supporting the day-to-day running of the laboratory. It would suit someone with previous laboratory experience who is organised, reliable and enjoys working in a structured environment.

Main Duties - Laboratory Analyst

Book in samples and prepare them for testing
Carry out routine quality checks on methods and equipment
Perform basic equipment maintenance when required
Keep laboratory records and documentation up to date
Support stock control and order laboratory consumables when needed
Ensure the laboratory is kept clean, organised and safe
Follow Health & Safety, COSHH and Good Laboratory Practice procedures
Work in line with ISO17025 and quality requirements
Support the wider laboratory team with day-to-day activities
The Ideal Candidate - Laboratory Analyst

Previous laboratory experience
Scientific degree preferred but not essential
Good attention to detail
Comfortable following procedures and working to quality standards
Good communication and organisational skills
Knowledge of LIMS systems would be beneficial
Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team
