Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organisation, is seeking a Lab Technician I to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

As a Lab Technician, your main responsibilities will include:

Conducting routine laboratory experiments and tests using standard and specialised equipment, following defined procedures.
Assisting engineers in developing and defining tests and procedures for new projects.
Collecting and documenting test data accurately.
Communicating effectively with other departments to share test results.
Learning and applying the organisation's processes, procedures, and equipment consistently.In addition to your technical skills, our ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

A solid understanding of quality systems and a commitment to working safely.
Previous experience in a medical R&D environment would be advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
The capacity to work independently and demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
The ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic work environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
Ideally, 6 to 12 months of experience working in a R&D Laboratory environment.The start date for this position is 10th July 2024, with a 12-month contract. There is a possibility of contract extension based on performance and project requirements. The role offers a competitive salary of £28,995.50 per annum, equivalent to £14.87 per hour, and will be based at our client's location in Wimborn, Dorset. Travel is not required for this role.
