L1 Engineer
Location: Local to you, project is UK wide
Rate: £125 per day, Inside IR35
Duration: 4 weeks, initially
Your New Role
We are looking for L1 Engineers (BIOS Configuration Technicians) to support a large-scale hardware configuration project.
The role will involve configuring all-in-one Point of Sale devices using a clear, step-by-step technical process. Full configuration guidance and the required files will be provided, so the key requirement is the ability to follow technical instructions accurately and work efficiently.
Your Responsibilities
* Configure all-in-one POS devices in line with the provided process.
* Use supplied SMC files to complete the required configuration.
* Follow a clear BIOS configuration guide to update device settings.
* Complete the configuration process accurately and consistently.
* Apply the required identification label to each completed device.
* Work efficiently, with an expected configuration time of approximately 15 minutes per device.
* Follow the agreed process and raise any issues where the configuration cannot be completed as instructed.
You Will Have
* Previous experience as an IT Technician, HAP Technician, Hardware Technician, Deployment Technician or similar.
* Comfortable working with computer hardware and BIOS configuration.
* Good attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step technical instructions.
* Able to work consistently and accurately across a high volume of devices.
* Own laptop and USB required for the configuration process.
