Key Stage 2 Tutor
About the Role
We're looking for enthusiastic and supportive Key Stage 2 Tutors to work with children across the BCP area, providing personalised 1:1 tuition to learners who require additional educational support.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll support pupils who may be unable to access mainstream education full-time, have additional learning needs, or require a tailored approach to help them achieve their potential. Your focus will be on building confidence, developing key skills, and creating positive learning experiences that encourage progress.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements
Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
Experience supporting primary-aged children
Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
Ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs
Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, nurturing, and engaging approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within your local area

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
ADHD
Anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance
