KS2 Teacher in Merton

£39,196 - £58,120 per year. Salary depends on experience and pay scale position, with the maximum applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience. Relevant qualifications are also taken into account.

Start date: 19 October 2026 | full-time, long-term, temporary

Hours: Term time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Help pupils become readers who question, writers with ideas and mathematicians who can explain their methods. This KS2 role offers responsibility for planning and teaching that builds knowledge steadily while responding to individual starting points. Transparency Education is recruiting for this position in Merton.

Key responsibilities

Plan well-sequenced lessons across the KS2 curriculum

Strengthen reading comprehension, writing and mathematical reasoning

Assess learning and adapt tasks for support or further challenge

Coordinate classroom support and keep families informed of progress

Role requirements

UK QTS and a recognised teaching qualification

Relevant KS2 experience and strong primary curriculum knowledge

Effective assessment, behaviour management and communication skills

A commitment to safeguarding and an enhanced DBS check appropriate to the role, or willingness to complete one.
