KS2 Teacher Job in Blackburn - Academic Year 2026/27

A welcoming and ambitious mainstream primary school in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher to join their team for the full 2026/27 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential during the important Upper Key Stage 2 years.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for an Upper KS2 class, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that prepare pupils for the next stage of their education. Experience supporting pupils through SATs preparation and assessment processes would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Upper KS2 curriculum
Prepare pupils effectively for Year 6 SATs assessments
Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress
Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2
Strong curriculum knowledge, particularly within Upper KS2
Experience delivering SATs preparation is desirable
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for all pupils
