Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in M16, Manchester.

This is a part-time position, three days per week, running until December, and would suit an experienced KS1 teacher looking for a flexible long-term opportunity.

The school is a friendly and inclusive primary school with a strong focus on creating a positive learning environment where children feel supported, confident and ready to learn. The successful teacher will join a collaborative team and take responsibility for a Year 2 class.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across the Year 2 curriculum, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all pupils.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging Year 2 lessons
Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs
Assessing progress and adapting teaching accordingly
Maintaining positive behaviour and high expectations
Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
Building positive relationships with pupils and families

The Ideal Teacher

The school is looking for a confident and experienced KS1 teacher, ideally with recent Year 2 experience.

You should have:

QTS
Recent primary teaching experience
Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
Year 2 experience would be highly desirable
Good classroom management skills
A calm, nurturing and consistent approach
