Description:
Key Responsibilities:
* Classroom Support: Work closely with the class teacher to support daily teaching and learning activities across KS1, helping to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
* Small-Group & 1:1 Support: Provide focused support to pupils in small groups or individually to help reinforce learning, build confidence and promote independence.
* Learning Activities: Assist with preparing resources, setting up activities and supporting children during lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
* Behaviour Support: Encourage positive behaviour through calm, consistent strategies, helping pupils stay engaged and ready to learn.
* Monitoring & Feedback: Observe pupil engagement and progress, offering feedback to the class teacher to help inform planning and next steps.
* Collaboration: Work as part of the wider staff team, supporting colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive approach across the classroom and year group.
* Parent Interaction: Support positive communication with parents when needed, helping to share updates on pupil wellbeing and classroom achievements.
* Safeguarding: Promote and follow the school's safeguarding policies at all times, ensuring the safety and welfare of all pupils.
