Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Preston
Contract: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
We are currently recruiting for a committed and experienced Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Preston on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide classroom support across all KS1 year groups, assisting teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences and contributing positively to pupil development and attainment.
The Role
Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classes
Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
Assisting class teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities
Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour
Supporting pupils with varying educational needs where requiredCandidate Requirements
Previous experience working within a primary school environment is desirable
Confidence and flexibility to support across all KS1 classes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A professional, proactive, and nurturing approach
An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to obtain one, is essentialWhat the School Offers
