You must be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with strong communication skills. You will be hands on with an eye for detail, ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

·Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients

·Using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters

·Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed

·Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom

·Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock

·Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans

·Observing cooking times and correct temperatures

·Provide a courteous and efficient service to all external guest that you come into contact with, not forgetting to smile and offering assistance/advice where it might be welcomed.

·Communicate with managers, the reception team and waiting staff with regards to special requests and preparation times of specific foods that have been ordered, always in a patient and courteous manner

Role requirements

A Kitchen Assistant, or Kitchen Porter, assists the Line Cook and Sous Chef. Their primary duties include stocking ingredients, slicing produce, cutting meat into portions and cleaning the kitchen.

Being dependable and reliable will be crucial, so that we can deliver the best service to our residents.

Excellent communication

Good level of product knowledge- about different types of foods and cuisines

Good level of English language - listening and speaking

(You must be eligible to work in the UK)

Full time Hours 33hrs per week plus overtime (including two weekends per month.)

Job Types: Full Time , Permanent

Salary: £11.50 - £13.50 per hour
