Our client is currently looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant for a period of holiday cover. You will be expected to work to a high standard during their busy morning and lunch periods, displaying good customer service skills whilst performing various cleaning, cooking, and waiting tasks to a good standard.
Due to the requirements of this role, it is ESSENTIAL that the right candidate has a current FOOD HYGIENE AND SAFETY CERTIFICATE or equivalent.
Salary:
£14.65.
Hours:
7am to 2:30pm Tuesday – Friday.
The right candidate will have to be available for a PAID induction on the 24th of May, from 8am to 11am.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
* Customer Service – taking food orders, operating the till, ensuring that everyone is happy with their food and other forms of customer interaction.
* Waiting – bringing food from the kitchen to customers, and then clearing their table when they have finished, making sure the empty tables are prepped for the next customers to dine on.
* Cleaning – wiping down all surfaces, sweeping the floors, pot washing, polishing cutlery and generally having a keen eye for detail with cleanliness.
* Cooking – Basic food preparation is required to form a simple menu of bacon sandwiches, cooked breakfast, jacket potatoes etc..
