Our client, Progressive Mindz is a six-bed residential service in Greenwich to provide 24 hours specialist support for young people (16-21) with a variety of complex needs

As the successful candidate, you will:

* Build lasting relationships with young people by adopting a supportive, non-judgmental approach and working within a multidisciplinary environment to enhance outcomes for children and young people.

* Deliver key work sessions and independent living skill sessions to meet the individual needs of residents.

* To maintain records of daily contacts, produce weekly progress reports and update the support and risk management plans.

Safeguarding:

* To proactively safeguard young people as outlined in the Safeguarding Policy and Procedure.

* To manage incidents effectively using de-escalation tactics, write incident reports and carry out recommendations from management.

Health and Safety:

* To carry out Health and Safety patrols and take part in routine housekeeping tasks.

* Strict adherence to Lone Working Policy and Procedures.

* To undertake light housekeeping duties.

Other:

* To work in the service, mainly alone and work as part of a team; effective communication with colleagues, participate and contribute in team and case management meetings.

* To actively take part in your own learning; participate in training & supervision sessions.

* To complete the above in line with Progressive Minds’ Values and Policies and Procedures.

As the successful candidate, you should have:

* Minimum two years experience of working with young people with a diverse background.

* Ability to work with Children and Young people in a non-judgmental way, respecting their choices and working within a trauma informed environment.

* Satisfactory reference checks and DBS checks

* To be able to work as part of a rota 7 days a week working 12-hour shifts.
