About the role:

Join our team as a Part-Time Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) specializing in Special Educational Needs (SEN), starting as soon as possible. This position has become available due to an expansion of our support team to enhance learning outcomes for all pupils. Working closely with small groups of SEN children within the Key Stage 2 classes, you will support their educational and emotional development in alignment with our school’s values of Respect and Inclusion.

The role involves collaborating with class teachers to implement tailored interventions and ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive. This is a part-time role, requiring flexibility across 3 days per week. Our recruitment process involves a face-to-face interview and may include participation in a trial day to observe your interaction with students and colleagues.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, ideally with Key Stage 2 students.

• A genuine passion for education and supporting the learning journey of all pupils, especially those with SEN.

• Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support pupils with diverse needs.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the class teacher to support the educational and emotional development of Key Stage 2 students.

• Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN, including those with specific learning difficulties or disabilities.

• Assist in the planning and delivery of booster sessions and interventions to meet individual learning needs.

• Create a stimulating and safe learning environment where all students can thrive.

• Encourage positive social interactions and help pupils to develop their self-esteem and confidence.
