About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant with a background in providing interventions for English as an Additional Language (EAL) students. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of primary school students in Newham, London.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, with a specific focus on Key Stage 2.

• Demonstrated experience in providing interventions for EAL students, including knowledge of effective strategies and resources.

• Relevant qualifications or training in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or EAL. (Desirable)

• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the diverse needs of students within a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to Key Stage 2 students, particularly those with EAL backgrounds, in both individual and group settings.

• Plan and deliver targeted interventions to support EAL students in their academic and language development.

• Collaborate closely with class teachers and other support staff to ensure the individual needs of students are met effectively within the classroom.
