About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team in Hackney, London. This role specifically focuses on providing boosters for low achieving students, offering invaluable support to ensure every child receives the attention they need to thrive academically.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with Key Stage 2 students, ideally in a similar booster or intervention role.

• A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to promoting their academic and personal development.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.

• An understanding of different learning styles and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting one-on-one or small group sessions with students identified as low achieving, focusing on boosting their skills and confidence in core subjects.

• Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored interventions and activities to meet the specific needs of individual students.

• Providing additional support during classroom activities and lessons to ensure all students are engaged and supported.

• Monitoring and tracking the progress of students receiving interventions, and reporting back to the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) as necessary.

• Collaborating with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
