Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant - Temp to Perm (Full Time)

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and reliable Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Telford on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis, with the opportunity for a long-term role for the right candidate.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children in upper primary and helping them make progress both academically and socially.

Key Stage 2 Education

The Role

You will work closely with class teachers to support learning across Key Stage 2, helping pupils access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the class teacher with planning and delivery of lessons
Working with individuals and small groups to support learning
Assisting pupils with English, Maths, and foundation subjects
Supporting behaviour management in a positive and consistent way
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Monitoring and recording pupil progress where required
Encouraging independence and confidence in learners
Contract Details
Full-time position
Temporary-to-permanent opportunity (for the right candidate)
Start date: September 2026
What We're Looking For
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant (KS2 preferred)
Good understanding of the primary curriculum
Confident supporting children with varying needs and abilities
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A patient, positive, and proactive approach
Ability to work well as part of a team
Relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable)
