SANZA Teaching Agency are currently working with a delightful, 3-form entry primary school in Harrow who are seeking a teaching assistant in key stage 2 (year group will be negotiated).
The role will be a mix of general teaching assistant work, as well as working 1:1 with a student with special educational needs.
THE ROLE:
As a key stage 2 teaching assistant you will:
Provide general classroom support
Work on a 1:1 basis with a student who has special educational needs
Provide individualised support in class, helping students access learning materials and fully engage in activities
Support any other students in the class that have additional needs
Encourage and facilitate participation in classroom activities, promote social interaction, and support learning and development
Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson materials and ensure they are accessible for the student
Behaviour management- be able to employ strategies to address challenging behaviours, fostering emotional regulation and positive responses.About you:
Will ideally have experience as a key stage 2 teaching assistant
Will ideally have experience supporting special educational needs
Will have a genuine passion for supporting teaching and learning
Be patient and understanding
Be flexible
Have great communication, interpersonal skills and ability to build great relationships
