About the role:
We are seeking a passionate Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our dedicated team. This part-time position offers 3 days per week (specific days negotiable), supporting our SEN students in achieving their full potential.
The role is pivotal due to the increased demand for individualised attention and support within our Key Stage 1 classes. With a class size of around 25 students, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and foster a nurturing classroom environment.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant experience working with SEN students, preferably within a primary school setting.
• Understanding of various SEN needs and strategies to support learning.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists.
• Strong communication skills and a nurturing approach to student development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and supporting students in class activities.
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to SEN students during lessons.
• Monitoring and reporting on student progress to class teachers and SENCO.
• Assisting with the personal care needs of SEN students as required.
