About the role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team in Islington, London. This part-time position offers the chance to work with EAL (English as an Additional Language) students, providing invaluable support and guidance as they navigate their educational journey.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in Key Stage 1 settings desirable.
• Strong background in interventions and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with EAL students, utilising strategies to enhance language acquisition.
• Relevant qualifications in education or related fields are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement tailored interventions for Key Stage 1 students, focusing on literacy and numeracy skills.
• Provide individualised support to EAL students, helping them develop English language proficiency and confidence in the classroom.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of booster sessions to reinforce learning and address specific learning needs.
