Role: Key Account Manager
Location: Midlands Region
Industry: Industrial Electrical Distribution
Hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm (no weekends)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join a well-established and respected electrical distribution business. This is a field-based role responsible for managing and developing key customer relationships across multiple branch locations within the region.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical products and solutions, combined with proven field sales experience. Working closely with branch teams, you will be responsible for growing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering sustainable sales growth across a diverse customer base.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Manage and develop a portfolio of key accounts across multiple branch locations, ensuring strong customer relationships and long-term growth
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the industrial sector to increase sales and market share across the region
• Conduct regular customer visits to understand business needs, provide technical product support, and identify opportunities for added value
• Work closely with branch teams to coordinate customer activity, maximise sales opportunities, and deliver excellent service levels
• Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing within company guidelines to achieve profitable growth
• Develop and implement account plans for strategic customers, monitoring performance against sales and growth targets
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and pipeline activity

Experience / Skills:
• Proven field sales and account management experience within the electrical distribution, industrial electrical, or mechanical background
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical products, applications, and customer requirements
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Self-motivated and commercially driven, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a regional customer portfolio effectively
