Description:
Platinum Travel Recruitment are collaborating with a forward thinking travel company who are now seeking an experienced Key Travel Account Manager to join the team, hybrid working model.
This exciting Key Travel Account Manager position is a senior, client-facing commercial role owning a small portfolio of highest-value global accounts. You shall be leading the relationships, own the P&L, grow the accounts, and lead a team of 6–10 people who service and deliver them.
Lucrative salary & bonus, career growth, supportive team, hybrid working, pension, travel perks and many other benefits are on offer.
Key Travel Account Manager – Duties:
* Own the relationship with a small portfolio of high-value global accounts. You are the senior point of contact and the person accountable for the health of each relationship.
* Build trusted, multi-level relationships across your client organisations — from operational teams to C-suite.
* Grow revenue within your accounts through expanded services, new geographies, and increased share of client spend.
* Identify and convert commercial opportunities. You are expected to sell, not just service.
* Manage pricing, margins, and commercial risk across your portfolio. You own the P&L for your accounts.
* Support new business pitches and play an active role in winning new strategic accounts.
* Work closely with operations, product, and ground teams to ensure what is promised is what gets delivered.
* Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of 6 to 10 people responsible for account servicing and delivery.
* Work across departments — operations, product, marketing, finance to deliver results.
Key Travel Account Manager – Essential Requirements:
* Significant experience in account management or partnership management, with a track record of managing high-value client relationships within the travel industry or within a luxury company.
* Experience leading and developing teams.
* Demonstrable commercial ability — you have grown accounts, managed P&L, and delivered against revenue targets.
* Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programmes across geographies.
* Confident and credible when engaging with senior and executive-level clients.
* Strong financial literacy. Comfortable with budgets, pricing, margins, and commercial modelling.
* Familiarity with sustainable or responsible travel practices – ideal but not essential.
* A proven relationship builder — trusted at every level, from operations teams to the C-suite.
* Commercially sharp — has grown high-value accounts, owned a P&L, and delivered against revenue and margin targets.
