Junior Web Developer
Who are we looking for?
We have a new opportunity for a Junior Web Developer (E-Learning) to join our Production team at CEG Digital!
The post-holder will be responsible for the development of online content across a range of SaaS learning environments. A good level of knowledge in implementing html and CSS is required any additional software build experience would be useful. The post-holder will bring a focus on delivering high quality learning experiences in a sustainable, repeatable manner through the online medium.
As such, this is primarily a web development role for online learning, that involves structuring and styling content for e-learning by working alongside the learning design and media teams. Part of the work involves supporting and maintaining existing content.
The post-holder will need to have good technical skills, a good understanding of UI/UX as well as the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both academic and technical staff.
The role is on a full-time, permanent basis, Homebased in the United Kingdom.
Key responsibilities within this role:

Developing accessible and engaging online learning content with a range of production tools
*
Converting academic course materials into engaging online learning content
*
Contribute to the development and design aspects of online content.
*
Working closely with the design teams who are engaged in creating blended learning versions of existing face to face modules and short courses

Key experience and skills that we will look for:

Educated to University level in relevant subject or an equivalent level of experience
*
Demonstrable knowledge of web development practices
*
Up to date knowledge of best practices in accessibility, user-centred, universal and mobile web design
*
Current knowledge of trends in web design
*
An understanding of accessibility standards and its application
*
Competent in designing accessible, engaging web-based courses and/or content
*
Experience of delivering project outcomes on time, in budget and to spec
*
Experience of working successfully on complex projects with key stakeholders
*
Strong communication skills, with the ability to express complex and technical ideas in plain English to a variety of audiences
*
Technical skills in: HTML5 and CSS3
