Junior Test Engineer

CPS Group are supporting a leading IT consultancy with the recruitment of a Junior Test Engineer to join a secure government programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated tester looking to develop their automation skills while working alongside experienced QA professionals on large-scale digital projects.
The Role:
* Support the Test Lead with the planning and execution of testing activities.
* Create, maintain and execute manual and automated test scripts.
* Identify, log and retest defects through to resolution.
* Support SIT, Regression and UAT testing.
* Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts and key stakeholders.
* Produce test documentation and participate in Agile ceremonies.
Essential Experience:
* Exposure to Ranorex and TypeScript.
* Commercial experience or a solid understanding of software testing and the SDLC.
* Experience writing test cases and executing manual or automated tests.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
* Keen to learn and develop within an experienced QA team.
Desirable:
* Experience with C#.
* Agile delivery experience.
* Exposure to test management or defect tracking tools.
* Previous experience within a regulated or public sector environment.
