Role Overview
Location: London, UK
Work Model: Onsite
Contract: 12 Months
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Local Time)We are recruiting a Junior Software Engineer to join a technology team within a leading financial services environment.
This is a great opportunity for a junior full-stack developer with 1+ year of commercial experience who wants to grow their skills while working alongside experienced engineers.
Key Skills Required
1+ year commercial full-stack development experience
Node.js & TypeScript - hands-on experience
React or Angular - frontend development
Experience building RESTful APIs
Experience with Git / version control
Knowledge of unit and integration testing
Understanding of Agile / Scrum
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and work under senior engineers
What You'll Do
Develop frontend features using React or Angular
Build backend services and APIs using Node.js & TypeScript
Integrate applications with APIs and data stores
Write and maintain automated tests
Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews
Support bug fixing and minor operational issues
Follow established coding, security, and SDLC practices
