IT Support Team Lead

*** This is an office-based role 4 mins  from Cannon Street  Station- you must be able to commute and work in the City of London 5 days a week***

The role..

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Support analyst for its  business-critical IT infrastructure .You will be working alongside a growing team of 80 staff, globally dispersed but predominantly in London and the Philippines. This role is varied. We are seeking someone with a general all-round skill set that is used to

simply getting stuck in. It is vital you possess good communication skills and are comfortabledealing with all levels of the business. You will be supporting both internal staff and externalparties/clients.

The key trait we seek is someone, never satisfied, can identify a problem or process to improve and wants to own and solve that problem to completion. The applicant will have

some technical support experience and enjoy being hands-on. Self-motivation and a keen desire to learn new skills are a must. The infrastructure team operates as one across the

globe. Applicants should be comfortable supporting and working with all clients across any location and at any level.

You will provide critical operational advice and hands-on support to issues, overseeing the day-to-day running of the IT support function and ensuring adherence to ITIL processes at all times. When support queues are quiet there will be the traditional level 2/3 project work.

The ideal candidate would have experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment (fintech, capital markets or real-time applications vendor would be a plus), working with a small team but understanding how to scale and provide advice on building out the IT infrastructure to best support the business.

Skills

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop OS

Work experience in Tech Support

Experience troubleshooting desktop applications

Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software

Desirable Skills and knowledge:

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS

Hands-on experience with Linux & Mac OS environments

Experience or knowledge of AWS

General system administration skills – AV, monitoring tools, PBXs, firewalls, networking.

Networking knowledge

Any certification in Microsoft, Linux, AWS, Cisco or similar is a plus

Experience or interest in finance/capital markets/crypto

Experience in working in a regulated financial firm

Experienced in working with global teams
