Main Responsibilities for the successful Junior Quantity Surveyor:
Your role will be to assist senior members of the construction team, with various commercial duties.
* Maintain contact with the customer and supply chain throughout the project lifespan, and act as a key contact.
* Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects at various stages.
* Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with contracts and site managers.
* Track the progress of the customer’s input to the project so that their needs are anticipated and planned to the business’s forecasting and planning systems.
* Ensure projects are delivered to the correct price and specification, on or ahead of programme and on or under budget.
* Prepare and issue accurate and detailed applications for payment, ensuring these are submitted on the correct dates.
* Support senior surveyors and architects with project management, tenders.
* Assist in developing strategies to mitigate identified risks.
About the successful Junior Quantity Surveyor:
* Part qualified in quantity surveying, Construction management, architecture or similar.
* Highly IT literate and proficient with excel
* Highly organised and self-motivated individual
* Excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders and external clients
* Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
* Demonstrate excellent drive, determination, and ambition to succeed
* Clean UK License
