Junior Project Manager – Manufacturing
Up to £30k DOE | On-site | 37.5 hrs/week | Permanent
We're recruiting for an established UK marine hardware manufacturer adding a Junior Project Manager to their busy Design & Engineering team. Great opportunity for someone early in their PM career to develop in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering environment.
You'll support the delivery of New Product Development and bespoke customer projects from concept to launch, working across design, production, procurement and commercial teams.
What you'll be doing:
Building and maintaining project plans, timelines and trackers
Coordinating cross-functional teams to keep projects aligned
Running project meetings, capturing actions and chasing follow-ups
Monitoring progress, flagging risks and escalating where needed
Acting as key point of contact for internal teams and external customers
Keeping project documentation accurate and up to date
Producing status updates and reports
What we're looking for:
1–2 years in a project coordination or junior PM role (placement/internship counts)
Strong organisation and time management
Confident communicator who can juggle competing priorities
Comfortable with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Proactive, solutions-focused attitude
Nice to have (not essential):
PRINCE2 or APM certification (training provided)
No degree required – assessed on experience and attitude
Marine background not needed – strong PM/coordination skills matter most; an interest in engineering or anything boat/mechanical is a bonus
