Junior Project Manager
Stockport (hybrid) | £25,000 + Profit Share Bonus
Our client is a well-established engineering business with over 20 years in the industry. What you'll be doing:
* Carrying out take-offs for designed projects (pipework, fittings etc.) and ordering major plant using purchase order software.
* Preparing fabrication instructions, H&S documentation (H&S plans, RAMS) and O&M manuals for projects.
* Carrying out site visits to check on progress, update the programme of works, and complete quality assurance checks on site installations.
* Keeping the operations manager updated on labour requirements to ensure projects are properly resourced.
* Reporting project finances back to the operations manager and financial director, ensuring projects stay within budget.
What we're looking for:
* A confident communicator, comfortable liaising with site teams, project managers, clients and main contractors, as well as colleagues in other departments, by phone and email.
* Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
* A full, ideally clean, driving licence.
* Self-motivated with the ability to make independent, on-site decisions, feed back to head office, and take a flexible approach to work.
What's on offer:
* Full time, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with hybrid working — Monday and Tuesday in the Stockport office, Wednesday to Friday from home.
* £25,000 salary plus profit share bonus.
* Holiday allowance starting at 20 days + statutory, rising with service up to 35 days after 20 years.
* Company laptop and mobile phone provided, along with relevant training courses.
* Hotel/accommodation costs paid direct by the company, subsistence paid on receipt of expenses, and mileage paid per HMRC guidelines.
