Junior Project Engineer
Are you a Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering graduate, or an engineer with a year or two of industry experience, looking for a varied role where you'll gain exposure to the complete engineering project lifecycle?
We're recruiting a Junior Project Engineer to join an established engineering business that designs, manufactures and supports bespoke industrial process equipment used across critical infrastructure and large-scale engineering projects throughout the UK and Europe.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive engineering team where you'll receive full product training whilst developing your skills in project engineering, mechanical and electrical design, commissioning, technical support and customer-facing engineering.
What You'll Be Doing as a Junior Project Engineer:
Supporting engineering projects from design through to installation and commissioning.
Coordinating installations with customers and contractors.
Providing technical support and troubleshooting for bespoke equipment.
Assisting with commissioning and site visits across the UK (with occasional European travel).
Supporting quotations, engineering documentation and technical proposals.
Working closely with manufacturing, suppliers and customers to deliver successful projects.
Carrying out equipment inspections and supporting continuous product improvements.What We're Looking For in a Junior Project Engineer:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar.
Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles.
Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence.Desirable
Experience with process equipment, industrial systems or water treatment.
AutoCAD or other CAD software.
Knowledge of PLCs or control systems.What's On Offer?
