Our client, a successful fashion supplier is looking for a motivated and reliable Junior Part-Time Accountant to join our team in Market Harborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their experience and progress their career within a friendly and supportive working environment.
The Role
Working closely with the wider finance team, you will assist with the day-to-day accounting functions of the business and help ensure that financial records are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing purchase and sales invoices
* Bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
* Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Preparing and posting journals
* Supporting month-end processes and management accounts
* Assisting with VAT returns and other financial reporting
* Monitoring outstanding payments and receipts
* Assisting with general bookkeeping duties
* Providing administrative support to the finance team
* Helping with year-end accounts and liaising with external accountants when required
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Part-qualified or currently studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or a similar accounting qualification
* Ideally has some previous experience in an accounts or finance role
* Confident using Excel and comfortable working with accounting software
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Numerate and able to work accurately to deadlines
* Reliable, professional and keen to learn
* Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
