Junior OT Engineer

Description:

We are searching for a detail-oriented Junior OT Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the implementation, maintenance, and security of Operational Technology (OT) systems. This includes assisting with the configuration of SCADA systems, industrial control networks, and other OT-specific hardware and software. Key Responsibilities

* Systems Support: Assist senior engineers in the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of OT systems (PLC's, HMI's, SCADA, industrial networks, etc.).

* Security Practices: Contribute to the implementation and adherence to OT cybersecurity standards and best practices.

* Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and operational procedures.

* Incident Response: Participate in the investigation and resolution of OT-related incidents and problems.

* Project Assistance: Provide support as needed throughout the lifecycle of OT-related projects.

* Professional Development: Stay updated on emerging OT technologies, security trends, and industry standards.

Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Skills/Experience

* Technical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of Industrial control systems (SCADA, PLCs, HMIs)

* Protocols (TCP/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, etc.)

* Problem-solving Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and address technical issues in a systematic manner.

* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively with teams.

* Interest in Automation: A genuine interest in industrial processes, automation, and the interaction between technology and physical operations.

* Experience with common SCADA software platforms.

* Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, ladder logic).

* Familiarity with virtualization or cloud technologies as they apply to OT.
