Junior Operations Engineer
We are excited to be recruiting for a Junior Operations Engineer role working for an industry-leading software company based in London, providing the opportunity to work remotely. Already well-established within the cyber-security sector, they have experienced rapid sales in 2023, which has opened up several career opportunities for top cybersecurity graduates or professionals. This will be working within the dynamic and varied Ops team, offering multiple avenues for progression and development, and a very exciting career trajectory ahead.
Location: Fully remote (must be UK based)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Requirements for Junior Operations Engineer:
* 2.1 or 1st class honours degree with a Cyber Security focus (or any tech degree with cyber security experience)
* Ideally, you will have some commercial experience in a technical cybersecurity role, but as a minimum, you should have had a cybersecurity focus – i.e. academic focus, internship etc
* We are particularly keen to hear from those with pen-testing or SOC exposure
* Brilliant communication skills – this role is going to be interacting with both internal colleagues and external clients so this is key
* You love the idea of working for a dynamic start-up where you will gain a breadth of skills
* You are a hardworking, self-starter - this may sound cliche but given the start-up and remote nature of the role, these attributes are vital.
* You thrive on problem-solving
* Good logical reasoning
* Good understanding of Microsoft Windows OS and Active Directory
* If you have a keen interest in exploring careers as a Pen Tester, Security Analyst, Technical Consultant or Tech Support Specialist this role is an excellent pathway into all
Responsibilities for Junior Operations Engineer:
The Operations Team covers 3 main areas within the business and your time will be split between:
Working on Security Roadmaps for Clients
Post-sales technical support & troubleshooting of issues
Either Pen-Testing or SOC focussed projects – depending on your interests/abilities you can decide which area to focus within
