Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Staffordshire
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate or Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative engineering business, supporting the design and development of products from concept through to manufacture.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for designing practical mechanical solutions around electronic products, developing prototypes and working with manufacturing partners to bring designs to life. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, product design and getting stuck into engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Design plastic and metal enclosures using 3D CAD software (Fusion 360 or similar).
Develop products from concept through to prototype and manufacture.
Produce prototypes using 3D printing and other rapid prototyping methods.
Support projects involving 3D scanning, laser cutting, laser engraving and UV printing.
Create and edit graphics using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Work closely with manufacturing partners throughout the product development process.About You
Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related discipline.
Experience using 3D CAD software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar.
A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and problem solving.
A genuine interest in designing, building and improving products.
Engineering projects or hobbies outside of work or study would be an advantage.IND4
