Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer, looking to expand your skills and progress to be a technical expert working on highly complex systems, within a technically advanced and rapidly growing SME, where you will play a pivotal role, working on a range of highly technical, cutting edge projects, for the design and manufacture of specialist power and monitoring systems with sophisticated controls, whilst receiving dedicated training and development from senior engineers?

Are you looking to step into a varied and versatile role, helping to develop and support new and existing products for a dynamic and forward thinking organisation which provides innovative and sustainable solutions across marine and off grid markets?

The company provide hybrid power and monitoring systems with sophisticated control, which combine renewable energy sources with traditional power sources, enabling reduced emissions and improved energy efficiency. They develop cutting-edge technologies to provide the latest solutions for applications in marine, off grid and specialist vehicles, supplying to a diverse range of reputable clients. Now looking to capitalise on recent success, they are expanding their engineering team, looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer who will develop new products, and support the existing range.

You will be responsible for creating end to end design solutions, designing control panels and bespoke parts for hybrid power systems, as well as custom steel enclosures using Inventor, Fusion and AutoCAD.

The role:

Excellent training provided
Use the design brief to develop a design solution which are then progressed through to manufacturing drawings
Using Inventor and Fusion to design custom steel enclosures for the hybrid product range. These consist of sheet metal and fabricated parts
Designing control panels and associated graphics for customer projects
Working with suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost effective
Creating parts on the MRP system
Managing the drawing and revision systemThe person:

Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering / Relevant Discipline
