Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £35,000
KO2 is recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established instrumentation manufacturer in Sowerby Bridge. Part of a larger international group, the company designs safety-critical products used across a range of industries worldwide.
Working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, you'll support the development of new products from concept through to production, gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Create and modify 3D CAD designs for instruments and components
Produce engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation
Assist with prototype builds, testing, and design validation
Support investigations into design improvements and manufacturing issues
Raise Engineering Change Notes (ECNs) and update technical documentation
Work closely with engineering, production, and purchasing teams
Contribute to cost, feasibility, and design reviewsAbout You
Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience using 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor desirable)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Practical mindset with an interest in product design and manufacturing
Good communication skills and a collaborative approachWhat's on Offer?

38-hour week with a 12:30pm finish every Friday
