CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a Junior Maintenance Electrician to join our client on a permanent basis, working at a site based in Sheffield City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their electrical maintenance skills and progress their career within a leading facilities management organisation, delivering services across the hospitality and public sector.
Please note: This role is predominantly evening and weekend based (70%), in line with the site's events schedule. The successful candidate must be comfortable working regular evening and weekend shifts and be flexible to meet the operational requirements of the site. Any additional hours worked will be compensated through TOIL (Time Off in Lieu).
Package
Competitive salary between to £32,000 - £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)
37 hours per week, predominantly evenings and weekends based around the site's events calendar
Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on-call rota (to be confirmed)
22 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities
Assist with the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting and power distribution
Support experienced electricians with planned and reactive maintenance across the site
Assist with the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems
Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance to help ensure systems remain safe and operational
Support engineers with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults
Complete basic electrical maintenance tasks under the guidance and supervision of senior engineers
Work alongside other maintenance personnel and contractors when required
Follow all relevant health and safety procedures and electrical regulations
Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately
Qualifications
Level 3 City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent
City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Basic understanding of electrical systems and equipment
Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of experienced electricians
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Flexible approach to working evenings and weekends in line with the site's events schedule
