The Position

Applications are invited for a Junior IT Support Analyst). This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours each week Monday to Friday, reporting to the Group IT Manager.

As a Junior IT Support Analyst, the duties and responsibilities will vary based on the IT Departments requirements but will include:

Supporting the  IT Team, following direction and duties as designated by the Head of Information & Digital Services & Lead Analysts (Training, Scoping and Troubleshooting).

Diagnosing and resolving user problems and educating users on problem resolutions in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.

Developing training guides, procedures and videos for users.

Administrating user access, create new users and ensure user requirements are met with a consistently high quality of service.

Ensuring that each support issue and resolution is adequately documented and tracked from reporting to resolution, including any escalated issues.

Handling a mixture of 1st and 2nd line infrastructure and software support issues.

Ensuring maintenance of a support system, tracking performance and identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

Mobile device maintenance and maintenance of networks and infrastructure across SARIA sites.

Producing clear, unambiguous, testable requirement specifications for users, enabling the lead analysts to develop solutions.

Assisting in modelling of the current and future states for the business, using industry standard approaches and notation

Assisting in evaluation of the solutions against business objectives and system requirements.

Any other IT related tasks.

The Person

5 GCSE’s grade C and above (including Maths & English), plus an A-level qualification related to IT.

A technological / IT based degree is desirable but not essential.

Must have knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central and be proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite at an advanced level.

Has knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems. 

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration and Computer Networking would be advantageous.

Previous experience of inhouse IT management/support, an IT Analyst role or administrative/office role is desirable.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and achieve deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to engage, collaborate and influence.

Ability to work well as part of a team, engaging with stakeholders and building strong working relationships.

Willing to learn and develop skillset, with a positive, proactive, attitude.
