Role – Junior Health & Safety Officer
Location – Office Co. Derry with travel across NI
Projects – Industrial & Commercial
Salary – £30K - £40K Plus Package
About the Company:
A main Building Contractor who is involved mainly in Industrial and Commercial sectors currently have a requirement for a Junior Health & Safety Officer to join their team.
This contractor works all across Northern Ireland and they would specialise in building, civils and fitout with a wide variety of projects and healthy order book leading into 2025.
The client is seeking a candidate that is confident in overseeing development of policies/programs and to monitor and maintain effective up to date records in relation to Health, Safety and Compliance regularly with an excellent team on site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee development of policies/programs and to monitor and maintain effective up to date records in relation to Health, Safety and Compliance regularly.
* Investigate and manage reports and file them accordingly through the reporting system such as accidents and incidents.
* Deal with any health & safety issues that may arise in an efficient and effective way with a professional attitude.
* Ensure that everything recorded is private & confidential ensuring that the rules and regulations are followed.
* Ensuring that on-the-job training records is kept up to date.
* To provide any advice to other staff/team members on relevant information when it may be required.
* Provide information to support pre-qualification requirements for various clients.
Specification:
* Degree or equivalent within Construction Management.
* NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in overseeing overall company safety policy
* Track record in monitoring of multiple sites and various build projects.
* Ideally 2-3+ years' experience in construction safety.
* Experience of safety in the Irish construction sector or very similar regulatory environment is essential.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Flexible to travel across NI.
* Clean Driver’s License.
