An established contractor within the construction and refurbishment sector is looking to recruit a Junior Estimator to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their estimating career who is eager to learn, develop, and progress within a business that is committed to investing in its people.
The Role
Working alongside experienced estimators, you'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of construction and refurbishment projects. You'll be supported every step of the way, developing the skills and knowledge needed to become a successful estimator.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions.
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
* Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
* Supporting the pricing of materials, labour, and project costs.
* Maintaining accurate estimating records and documentation.
* Working closely with the commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Motivated and eager to develop a career in estimating.
* Organised, proactive, and keen to learn.
* Numerate with strong attention to detail.
* A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
* Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Experienced in a construction environment or educated in a relevant construction-related discipline (desirable but not essential).
