Junior Estimator – North Wales
SEP Resource Solutions is recruiting for a Junior Estimator on behalf of a well-established company within the structural steel sector based in North Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in estimating within the structural steel industry. The role would suit an ambitious and motivated individual who is keen to learn, develop new skills, and progress within a supportive and experienced team.
Working alongside senior estimators and project personnel, you will assist with the preparation of estimates and quotations, support procurement activities, and contribute to the successful delivery of structural steel projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of estimates and quotations for structural steel projects.
* Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings.
* Supporting the procurement process by obtaining supplier quotations and assisting with material ordering.
* Assisting with project administration and coordination activities.
* Maintaining accurate project records and documentation.
* Supporting the commercial team with cost analysis and tender submissions.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and industry contacts.
* Assisting with the management of enquiries and project opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
* Keen to develop a career in estimating, construction, engineering, or the structural steel sector.
* Able to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Tekla would be advantageous but is not essential.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
